A Hutchinson bottle, often called a "Hutch" bottle, is a type of antique soda bottle characterized by a distinctive internal wire and rubber stopper. This stopper, invented by Charles Hutchinson, replaces the traditional cork and allows for a "pop" sound when opened. These bottles were popular from the 1870s to the early 1900s and are a favorite among antique bottle collectors. [ld][ph:L]
