Prussian shape quart decanter with a cut band of vertical blazes around the mid-section and cut finger flutes around the lower body.  This decanter could have been made in either the US or England between 1810-1830.  The stopper is a later replacement.  Standing 8 1/4" tall without the stopper, there is a polished pontil on the bottom.  Originally more expensive than undecorated decanters, these cut examples were marketed to upper working class families that could now afford finer house wares.  [LJ][PH:L]
