THE FORLORN HOPE: 1ST MAINE HEAVY ARTILLERY, BATTLE OF PETERSBURG, JUNE 18, 1864 - DON TROIANI

$200.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1070-201

Artist's Proof numbered 53/55. Copyright 1989.  Features 6th Maine Battery, Battleflags of 1st ME Heavy Artillery, Major C.V. Crossman. Overall measures 29 ¾” x 25 3/4”.  Excellent condition; unframed. Accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity from the artist.

Artist’s Proof:  It's customary for the artist to create additional prints called artist's proofs (AKA artist's prints), which number 10% of the limited edition. The numbering system for artist's proofs shows the print number over the total quantity of the artist's proofs. Print #7 out of 15 would have this written on it: AP 7/15. Artist's proofs are considered even more valuable than the original limited edition prints, since they are usually only sold once the edition itself has sold out.

Insured UPS shipping: $40.00 east of the Mississippi; $60.00 west of the Mississippi.
