An original piece of Confederate money, being the $5 CSA T-53 bill featuring the State Capitol building in Richmond in the center of the bill, and Confederate Secretary of the Treasury, C.G. Memminger in lower, right corner. Engraved and printed by Keatinge & Ball of Columbia, SC. Dated April 6th 1863. Plate letter, E. Handwritten serial number, 327071. This note has blue shade on the back. The printing is clear and the contrast good. Several pin holes. Stamped “JUNE, 1863.” In red on right side. A nice, typical Confederate bill. [jet][ph:L]
