An original piece of Confederate money, being the $100 CSA T-39 bill featuring a vignette of a steam train in the center while to the left, a milkmaid is featured. Trains played a critical role for the Confederacy during the war, moving supplies and troops across the South.
Dated August 2, 1862 in brown ink. Plate A. Serial number 27605 in red ink. Signed in brown ink. Blank back. The printing is clear and the contrast very good. A couple of pin holes, light wrinkling. Centered well, trimmed well. A fine Confederate 1862 bill. [jet][ph:L]
