An original piece of Southern money, being the $3 FLCR17 bill featuring a Confederate ship of war in the center with additional graphics filling the left and right edges. “THE STATE OF FLORIDA / THREE DOLLARS / Tallahassee” printed boldly beneath the sailing ship.

Dated March 1, 1863. Plate J. Serial number 7220 in faded brown ink. Four signatures in brown ink. Red print of “3”s and “THREE”. Blank back.

The printing is clear and the contrast very good. Two pin holes. Centered well with moderate wrinkling visible on back.

A nice Confederate State (Florida) 1863 bill.    [jet][ph:L]
