An original piece of Confederate money, being the $100 CSA T-65 bill featuring the portrait of Lucy Pickens, the wife of the governor of South Carolina during the war in the center of the bill. There are two soldiers on left side, and Confederate cabinet member George W. Randolph on the bottom right.

Engraved and printed by Keatinge & Ball. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter, D.  Printed serial number, 21429. This note has pink shade remaining on the front and light blue on the back. The printing is clear and the contrast good. Upper, left edge and corner loss. Centered, trimmed tight. A typical Confederate bill.    [jet] [ph:L]
