12.5 inches by just under 1 inch; paper is mounted on backing to support it. This document is likely from a ledger or journal. It reads: “1771 Dr. Mr. William Palfrey in acct current with Benj. Harrison ... 6 [poun s].”

Benjamin Harrison is considered one of the founding fathers of the United States. He was a member of the Continental Congress and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Later, he served as the Governor of Virginia.

This portion of document is in good stable condition. Three fold marks are present. The period ink is quite dark and is easily read. There is a bit of toning present, but this is minimal at the ends of the paper and does not detract.  [cla][ph:L]
