Mixed media half-length torso figure of Robert E. Lee by sculptor Willy Whitten, number 610 of a series of 950. Mounted on cylindrical black marble base with plaque on reverse. Titled “The Noble Heart” and part of the North and South Collection, produced in 1993 and issued through Legends Foundry. The sculptor portrays Lee, “poised to accept the agonizing and bitter defeat of the Confederate Army. Painfully aware of his heritage and role in history…” Nicely sized for desktop or bookshelf display (approx. 9 1/2" tall).
