Charles Reed was a 21 year-old Leicester farmer who mustered into Co. “D, 54th Mass. Infantry, 12/1/1863, and was mustered out, 8/20/ 1865, at Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Joseph W. Reed was a 23 year=old Leicester, MA, farmer who mustered into Co. “D”, 54th Mass. Infantry, 12/3/1863, he was mustered out with his company, 8/20/1865, while awaiting Court martial for desertion.
William A. Story was a 26 year-old Hadly, PA, Barber who mustered into Co. “B”, 54th Mass. Infantry, 12/2/1863, and was mustered out on 8/20/1865, at Mount Pleasant, SC.
Joshua Crawford was a 35 year-old Peekskill, NY, laborer who mustered into Co. “E”, 54th Mass. Infantry, 12/3/1865, and was mustered out, 8/20/1865, at Mount Pleasant, SC.
George Butler was a 23 year-old Harrisburg, PA, Laborer who mustered into Co. “E”, 54th Mass. Infantry, 12/16/1863, and was mustered out 8/20/1865 at Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Lieut. John Milton Deane was a 24 year-old Freetown, MA, teacher who was commissioned as Lieut. in “G” company, 6/8/1864, and received the Medal of Honor for action at Ft. Stedman, VA, 3/25/1865, as well as promotion to Major, 5/15/1865.
