With original leather grip and wire binding. The 37.5-inch blade is excellent with no pitting and lots of original burnish. It bears the Napoleonic inspector's stamps of Lobstein and Bisch. The spine reads in French, "Manuf(acture) Imp(erial) Du Klingenthal" and is dated May 1815; Napoleon's 100 Day return. The undented and unpitted scabbard is numbered 567 which is also repeated on the outer bar of brass the hilt. A Napoleonic classic. [PE] [ph:L]
