WWII HOLSTER FOR JAPANESE NAMBU PISTOL

$250.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 362-958

This is a very nice original WWII Issue holster for the Japanese Nambu type 14 semi-automatic pistol.

This is constructed of thick rubberized canvas with a hard shell outer flap which covers the pistol's grip as well as the spare ammunition compartment and firing pin pouch. The outer flap is edged with a sewn leather binding. The flap has a tab attached to the bottom that locks to a small finial located on the body of the holster. The closure tab is complete except for a small piece of material that once covered the spring section in the middle of the tab; thread remains. Inside of outer flap is stamped with a few Japanese characters.

The main pocket of the holster, that actually held the pistol, has an ammunition compartment and extra firing pin holder sewn to the front. These are covered by an inner flap which likewise is held closed by a small finial. The pocket itself is stiff. There is a loop inside to hold a cleaning rod (not present).

The back of the holster has a belt loop, as well as two iron loops for a shoulder strap.

The holster is in good condition, though as with all rubberized canvas from WWII, it has become stiff. Minor soiling overall. This is a perfectly displayable WWII Japanese holster.  [jet] [ph:L]
