Excavated cuff button featuring the Massachusetts state seal on the face. Three-piece button in good condition. Cuff size (15mm) with bent shank. Retains 50% gilt. No backmark. Recovered from the Sherfy Peach Orchard.

From the collection of Ron Miller, brother of noted Gettysburg relic hunter Ed Miller. Ron was born in Gettysburg and was a teacher by profession. He walked and hunted the surrounding farm fields his entire life in search of relics. He was a member of the Adams County Historical Society and the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania. [jet] [ph:L]
