General service eagle button in good condition. There is no gilt left but the face is in excellent relic condition.

Reverse has the shank and a raised maker mark in a depressed channel that reads “WATERBURY BUTTON CO.” There is a very small freeze crack near the base of the shank.

This relic item is from the collection of Ron Miller, brother of noted Gettysburg relic hunter Ed Miller. Ron was born in Gettysburg and was a teacher by profession. He walked and hunted the surrounding farm fields his entire life in search of relics. He was a member of the Adams County Historical Society and the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania. [ad]  [ph:L]
