Here we have a 1913 reunion badge for those veterans of the Buckeye state of Ohio. The top pin “bar” is a small metal piece in the shape of the state which reads: “Ohio, Survivors of the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1863.”

The drop of the badge is an identical metal piece but this one in the shape of a circle outlined by a wreath with the Ohio state seal in the center. It features a sunrise over the mountains in the background with a sheaf of wheat and a cluster of arrows in the foreground. Above the seal is “Ohio.”

The reverse of the pin bar has two pins attached; they are in working order, and are firmly in place. The attachment ring is closed and holds the drop in place.

The bottom drop reads: “1863 Gettys / burg / 1913. A very small makers mark is present below. It reads: “Robbins Co. / Attleboro.”

This badge is in good stable condition. There is some minor discoloration to the metal due to age and wear but overall this is a fantastic Ohio veterans badge with a great Gettysburg connection.   [cla] [PH:L]
