Civilian style iron stirrup. Measures approximately 5.25” tall, 4.5” across, 2.5” wide. Bottom features “figure 8” cut-out and decorative tooling around edges. Iron wears a dark patina with very light surface rust on bottom surface.

From Lee’s Headquarters Museum collection in Gettysburg and originally listed in Horse Soldier catalog #28 (1999) as item LH246.   [jet][ph:L]
