The most widely used Confederate fuse plugs were the copper time fuse adapters with two spanner holes in the head. These fuse adapters came in various lengths and head diameters. This long style was used in the elongated rifled projectiles. This fuse adapter features the large diameter hole all the way through for common shells.
Measures 1.83” long. Nice green patina. Recovered at Gettysburg and recently acquired from local collector. [jet] [ph:L]
