This rare Tipton stereo view card is in a nice condition and features a northward view from the summit of Little Round Top, down the length of the west-facing Union line.
The dual image is mounted to a light peach-toned card, which features “Gettysburg Battlefield Views. / W. H. TIPTON, Photo., Gettysburg, Pa.” in bold text on either side. The “s” of “Gettysburg” has rubbed off and some very light surface dirt is noted. The reverse is blank and clean.
A rare Tipton capture of one of the most enduring views in American History. [cm] [ph:L]
