Fleam has a nice tortoiseshell handle and with the blade extended it meas. approx. 3.50 inches. Blade is nicely marked “ALOE & HERNSTEIN.”
The blade is bright with minor mottling. Point is slightly chipped.
Albert S. Aloe and William H. Hernstein worked together after previously owning individual companies under their own names. Together, they were located at 300 N. 4th, St. Louis, Missouri from 1879 to 1880. [ad][ph:m]
