Civil War era officer’s belt buckle. Cast brass eagle buckle which has integral wreath.  The brass buckle is clean and bright. This has the very narrow 0.425” wide hook on back. No numbered bench mark on plate but there is a small “Z” stamped on the belt loop. No keeper. Measures 49mm tall. The detail of the eagle remains very good. Sun rays are only between the eagle’s wings at top.
