Leather is in good overall condition.
Outer flap is stamped “USN” in an oval and has light crazing with some surface finish loss along the top. Latch tab is solid and supple. Tab is held in place by single row of stitching.
Inner flap has both ears and is strongly marked “U.S.N.Y.” over “BOSTON.”
The interior has had the implement pocket removed. Interior has no tin insert.
Bottom edge has pear shaped brass finial.
Large leather belt loop on back at top is present and solid.
Seams are tight however there is a small separation on one side on the back of the flap. This is minor. [ad] [ph:L]
