Excellent specimen of an appendage used with the M1816, M1840, and M1842 muskets. This is a ball screw (or puller) used to extract musket balls from .69 caliber smoothbore muskets. This was employed by attaching to the treaded end of the ramrod.
Threaded point, wide collar, and unmarked. Approximately 2” overall. Excellent condition. [jet] [ph:m]
