Image shows a white horse with a yellow sidesaddle in the foreground and a dark horse with black saddle in the background. The white horse is in a delicate pose with one front leg lifted and its head in a dainty bow while the dark horse looks wild-eyed and rearing. Perhaps the horses are meant to reflect the moods of their owners. Both animals are tied to a tree and surrounded by green woods and brown earth. In the bottom foreground is a man’s top hat resting on its crown next to a woman’s bonnet.

Photo has good clarity and contrast. Mount and paper have light to moderate surface dirt..

Reverse has photographer’s imprint for GOUPIL’S…NEW YORK with the title of the print at top. [ad]  [PH:L]
