CDV is a wartime vignette bust view of General Lee in Confederate uniform. It is the often-seen pose of the general that has been published in many books.
Clarity and contrast are excellent. Paper has minor surface dirt.
Reverse is blank except for an orange 2 cent tax stamp hand canceled in period ink with “JUNE 29, 1865.” There is also some collector information in pencil.
Ex-William A. Turner collection. [ad] [ph:L]
