CDV is a lithograph of Robert E. Lee at the outbreak of the Civil War with dark hair and mustache in a dark double-breasted coat with a high turned down collar.
Clarity and contrast are excellent. The paper and mount are very good.
Reverse is blank but for some collector information in pencil at bottom.
Image is from the collection of the late William A. Turner. [ad] [ph:L]
