Bust view of Tyler in uniform with captain’s shoulder straps. Clear image with good contrast. Mount has been trimmed. Period ink signature on back, “Yours truly, M.S. Tyler, Capt Co “B” 99” U.S.C.T.” No photographer’s backmark.

Martin S. Tyler enlisted on 8/27/1863 at New Orleans, LA as a Captain in Company "F" 99th USCT Infantry. At some point he was transferred from company F to company B.  [jet] [ph:L]
