Full standing view of Stringer in civilian clothes. The image is clear with good contrast. Photographer's backmark, C. Olsen, Shreveport, LA. Identified by way of another CDV (with ink identification) of him as member of the Pelican Hook & Ladder Co.

Edward Stringer enlisted on May 1, 1861 into Company A, 7th Louisiana Infantry. Present at Bull Run, 2nd Manassas, Middletown, and Winchester. Discharged on November 1, 1862.
