This is a carte de visite of an unidentified Confederate Lieutenant Colonel. Waist-up seated view wearing double breasted frock with star insignia on the collar and braid galloons on sleeves. Image is clear with very good contrast. Mount remains in good condition. Mistaken identification of "Gen. Pettigrew" in pencil at bottom. Photographer's backmark, Morse's, Nashville, Tenn. "No Negative" is in ink on the back.
