CDV is of an unidentified young soldier leaning against a column. He wears a light-colored commercial sack coat with 5 brass buttons, a matching military vest and trousers. The vest placket and buttonholes are outlined with dark piping.
Contrast and clarity are good. Mount and paper are also good with only minor edge dirt from age and storage.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for E. J. REES & CO… RICHMOND, VA. There is also some collector information in pencil.
From the collection of the late William A. Turner. [ad] [ph:L]
