This is a 1/9 plate “Union” hard case. The thermoplastic case is in very good condition with only minor corner chips. Two brass hinges and catch all in good order. Both halves of hard case match in size and dark tone. The gutta percha case features a raised scene of “Industry”; with farm implements, bee hive, bundle of wheat. On the interior, one side has pressed velvet lining and the other side has a printed paper label for “Littlefield, Parsons & Co., manufacturers of Daguerreotype Cases.”
