The seated subject is posed holding a pocket Colt in front of his chest with a long side-knife tucked in his belt. He also wears a dark forage cap and a dark open sack coat with buttons touched with gold gilt paint. He also wears an odd belt at his waist. It has a plain rectangular buckle with two parallel rows of adjustment holes. Also attached to his belt is the holster for his revolver.

Contrast and clarity are excellent. The plate itself has some minor spotting and edge discoloration.

Image comes with the decorative brass mat and stamped brass frame in a half case. [ad][ph:L]
