This is a 1/6 plate daguerreotype photograph in a “Union” hard case. The thermoplastic case is in excellent condition. Two brass hinges and catch all in good order. Both halves of hard case match in size and brown color. The gutta percha case features a design called “Birds at the Fountain”.
