Nice full-standing view of a clean-shaven Union soldier posed by a column and standing behind a chair. He is posed with one hand resting on the back of the chair and the other on his hip. He wears a dark forage cap at a jaunty angle with insignia on the crown that has been touched with gold gilt, a striped shirt, dark low-neck three button waistcoat with gilt watchchain and light-colored trousers.
Contrast and clarity are good.
Image comes in a plain black leather case with repaired hinge, decorative brass mat with scrollwork and flowers and stamped brass frame. [ad][ph:L]
