Offered here is a 1/6 plate tintype image in half case.

Image appears to be a Union soldier and his wife seated together and posing for the photographer. Cheeks have been tinted and buttons gilted. Soldier wears regulation 9-button frock coat. He also holds a forage cap in his lap; a company letter “I” is on the crown.
