This is a typical iron cannon ball of the era. A 6.25" solid iron ball to knock down fixed works. For 32-pounder "heavy" cannons.

This "dug" relic has some light pitting. There is a small hole/void on one side; interesting casting flaw.  [jet] [ph:L]
