Offered here is an iron cannon ball believed to be half of a Revolutionary War “chain shot”. Ball is heavily pitted. Marked “VB.” in white paint. A deep hole is believed to be the attachment point for the chain link.

Recovered in the Lake Champlain region.

Accompanying paperwork includes a letter from a previous owner and a receipt from Cary Delery of The Historical Shop in New Orleans.  [jet] [ph:L]
