Offered here is a very nice group of bullets recovered from the Battle of 2nd Bull Run.

Included are .54 and .58 caliber 3-ringers, .54 and .58 caliber Confederate Gardner 2-ringers, English and Confederate-made Enfields, .58 caliber “Georgia teat” bullet, a Spencer and a Sharps carbine bullet, .69 caliber buck & ball, pistol bullets, and two fired bullets.

All bullets feature a fine white patina and most have a reference number written on them. Recovered by author/publisher Dean Thomas.

At Second Manassas, Gen. Robert E. Lee’s Confederate army defeated Union forces under Maj. Gen. John Pope, causing a Federal retreat toward their defenses in Washington and allowing Lee to lead his army across the Potomac River into the North. [jet] [ph:L]
