Postcard meas. approx. 5.50 x 3.50 inches and is in good condition and unused.

Photo shows the German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler reviewing a stationary formation of Army & SS soldiers. Hitler walks along the front of the formation closely followed by SS Reichsfuhrer Heinrich Himmler and several other officers. One SS officer walks beside Hitler wearing his helmet and carrying a drawn sword, this is evidently the unit commander. The collar tabs worn by this officer are clearly visible, one has the SS runes while the other shows the rank of an Obersturmbanfuhrer.

There are several buildings in the left background with Nazi Party flags hanging from them. The far-right background shows an Army unit in field gray uniforms and helmets holding their rifles at the “PRESENT ARMS” position while the near right has the SS formation also at “PRESENT ARMS” but they are wearing black unforms and helmets.

Clarity and contrast are excellent.

Reverse of the image has a photographer’s mark for LEO STAINER, INNSBRUCK. [ad] [ph:L]
