Blade is in very nice condition. True edge has no nicks. Blade has 90% original finish over its length.
Iron counterguard is not marked. Blade is stamped in the ricasso area with “CAMILLUS, N.Y.” in one line while the opposite side is marked “U.S.N.” over “MARK 2.” Stampings are crisp though there is some surface dirt in this area. Leather grip is in excellent condition. Pommel is dark with just a hint of surface rust.
Gray plastic scabbard has gray woven frog. Iron throat is marked on front “USN MK2” in two lines while the opposite side has “NORD-4723, B. M. Co. 5 VP” in two lines. Scabbard shows only light dirt from age. [ad] [ph:m]
