Item Code: 772-22

Kit is made of a stiff khaki canvas edged in brown leather. Folded and closed it meas. approx. 11.00 inches long x 6.00 inches wide. The case is held closed by two brown colored snaps. Exterior surface shows some light to moderate surface dirt and light staining.

When open the case extends to 16.75 inches x 6.00 inches. The interior is lined with an OD green color canvas with brown leather loops for holding items. The single wide pocket at center of the case still holds the original mirror. Pocket snaps closed and has two sewn brown leather tabs attached for holding smaller items.

Towards the bottom of the kit is a toothbrush holder made of a soft plastic with a faux wood finish. It is slightly bent at center from being under the leather loop holder and has a small crack in this area, otherwise it is fine.

The bottom of the kit has a pocket that is subdivided into five sections. From left to right they hold a squared glass container with a brown screwcap, a large soap dish containing a small box of Lifebuoy soap. The bar of soap inside the box has been used. Next is a smaller soap dish containing a broken bar of white soap. There is also a shaving brush case and a small OD green sewing kit marked “SO SEW SOLDIER.” The soap dishes and the shaving brush case match the tooth brush holder in that they are made of the same material with the same finish.

This is a great piece for any World War One or Two display or reenactor.  [ad] ph:L]
