CUPFIRE & TEATFIRE CARTRIDGES

$90.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 172-5239

Offered here is a small collection of four patented Civil War cartridges. All of these were self-contained and internally primed copper cartridges designed to evade Smith & Wesson’s “rimfire” patent.

There is one .28 caliber Ellis & White patent cupfire cartridge made for the Plant revolver. The other three are .31 caliber Williamson’s patent teatfire cartridges for the Moore revolver. Of these, two are the earlier style with flat teat and one is the later type with round teat. This change was to facilitate easier loading.

All cartridges are in fine condition.  [jet][ph:L]

UPS shipping required.
