The MG 34 is a German recoil-operated air-cooled general-purpose machine gun, first tested in 1929, introduced in 1934, and issued to units in 1936.
This is an ATF legal receiver that anybody can own. In most cases, MG34 parts kits are missing this component to complete the machine gun for display. It is a solid white nonferrous metal casting. This receiver was removed from a MG34 display machine gun. All external parts will attach to this receiver like a real one, but it will not accept the bolt or bolt spring, making it fully legal to own. In the rear for the stock buffer, it has Allen screws to fix the buffer to the receiver instead of threads. The front shaft connecting the barrel jacket to the receiver is made from a regular machine bolt but functions well enough for display purposes. The front left side where the barrel jacket slides over to lock it into place has been repaired. If you need a receiver to complete a MG34 machine gun display, this one will fit the bill. [am][ph:L]
